Is there any point in holding onto chests?
Basically, if I don't open the chests that I currently have and the shop gets updated with new items and I open the old chests: Are they limited to the items that were in the shop when I got the chest or does it apply to the entire item pool currently in game?
Thanks for any replies, sorry if this was covered before.

druid chests have NP items and the other chests have jugg items. If tf2 is anything to go by chests eventually stop dropping and are replaced by the next series of chests, in time the strange items from the chests along with the chests them selves may go up in trade value. Of course i'm just speculating.
Thank you. I've opened tons and was wondering why I was only getting Furion and Jugg items. Guess I'm too slow to put it together myself. :P
Thanks so much for the clarification!
I kinda hope that they're going to be switching chests. But instead of going for a couple of months, they switch weekly (or biweekly) and every time it's a new hero's chest. So that it won't make some items ridiculously rare.
In any case if they're going for some stupidly rare items, they can just decrease the droprate a ton. It wouldn't really matter if they switch weekly, because that would mean that the chest would return again at a later time. (If they had 3 or 4 chests at a time and they switched weekly, it would return in 4-6 months.)
