Returning to Tyria

I vividly remember the first time I logged into this game many years ago, it was release day, I had been waiting for months.

My first MMO was final fantasy 11, which I loved but didn't fully understand how to do things, it wasn't super clear in the early days.

But I'd read the website at school, I wrote backstory for the character I would play (ranger/elementalist)

Then the game came out, I logged in, made my character, loaded into ascalson, then 20 minutes of lag later my character managed to talk to the first NPC.

Cut forward a few months and a new computer I log in again, select that character again and explore all of pre searing. Followed by doing it again with every character class. Back in those days I had a hard time doing stuff outside of starting areas in video games don't ask me why no real reason, too daunting I guess.

Yesterday for the first time in years I log into the game, see all my old characters I log into my elementalist (the character I started factions with and who's spiritual successor is my main on guild wars 2) and decide to start doing some things (namely get all elite skills)

I also decide to make a new character and replay the story from the beginning, so here's me making a new ranger to start back off in pre-searing ascolan like I've never left.
