Why did the Nazis document so many of their crimes?
I was watching a documentary/movie in my history class about the Nuremberg Trials and I just couldn't get over how much of their crimes against humanity were well documented by themselves. Why? I get that they probably didn't think they'd lose at the start, but by the start of 1945 you'd think they'd have destroyed the evidence, or at least the documentation.
