What's your accent like and how well does speech-to-text work for you?

I have a general northern accent with hints of American and Irish as I went through voice training and Android simply cannot understand me. Ironic I know :) It's significantly faster to type by hand than have to go back and change every 3rd or 4th word.

That said I have a friend that swears by it and will send an entire paragraph via voice recognition and only need to correct one word, if any, afterwards. It's kinda impressive to see when I'm with her in person.

What's your experience with voice recognition?
