Should I put some money into a 1.20% 12-month APY CD or just keep it in my .60% APY savings account?

Investing

Hello,

Currently I have around $50 K split in half between two savings accounts. One that gives me almost no return (I take from this savings monthly to fund Roth IRA and HSA) and the other that gives me .60%.

Recently I've gotten e-mail that one of my banks has a 12-month CD for a 1.20 % APY and I'm thinking of taking around $10-15K and putting it in there since I hardly touch and have never touched one of the savings accounts.

Currently I'm set to max out my Roth IRA contributions and HSA contributions.

Edit: Extra info - I live at home and probably will for another two years.

Edit: It seems like letting ya'll know what my short-term & long-term goals are will help with this discussion so:

I have around $52K in savings - give a little.

  • $9K of that is my emergency fund for if I lose my job or my dad loses his job (I think this is 6 months)
  • $4k right now is for travel that will take place this year
  • $13-15K is what I want to have available for a car sometime this year or next year
  • $9K is to pay my student loans once forbearance ends

The last $15k - I don't really have anything for. I do want to move out in a year or two - most likely two - so I could start a moving fund out of this?
