Weird Buu statement from manga

I’ve been looking into Kid Buu specifically for something and I seemed to remember something about Elder Kai saying he would destroy the entire universe and Reach the Kai Realm by the time Elder Kai dies which was only 1000 years away. Does anyone else remember or know if this is true? Because destroying an entire universe in 1000 years is an insane speed feat For buu at that point in the story.
