NSFW talk. upped my T cream dose forgetting about sex drive. can I split the dose

Immediately my sex drive increased, after just the first day of the new dose. I was previously on 3 pumps of cream (are they all called gel? Mines creamy bc it's compounded) and met with my provider last week to checkup. For some reasons, unimportant, we decided to up the dose to 4 pumps. I totally forgot T messes with you sex drive, I just wasn't thinking, but it's hell for my mental health. I'm prone to flashbacks and intrusive thoughts around sexual things so my mental health has been taking a beating as that becomes more prominent.

My question is, do you think my sex drive would lower if I took 2 pumps every 12 hours? Like instead of 4 all at once, 2 pumps at 11am and 2 pumps at 11pm. I feel like this could make a difference, but also I have no fucking idea. Anyone have advice or experience?

My followups are always 2-3 months down the road because my clinic is always booked, being an affordable LGBT clinic that does informed consent for hrt. Ill be sure to bring this up then, if it persists. But in the meantime I don't want to lower my dose for dysphoria reasons.
