Analysis of JB
Basketball isn't my strongest suit in terms of game knowledge and in-depth analysis - I've always been a football guy.
I've recently been trying to learn more about the finer points of the game and pay more attention to what's going on with the team, etc. For example, this is the first year I've actually spent time looking at NBA draft prospects, compared to my past attitude of "Oh, we got that guy? Cool..."
In looking into some of the kids coming up in the draft, I hear how player X might be good in Y scheme, or how if Player Z goes to a team with a development-minded coach, they could really come into their own, etc. That last part in particular got me thinking: What kind of coach is JB considered to be?
A cursory search online didn't really yield much in terms of finding any decent analysis of individual coaches - their strengths, weaknesses, tendencies, schemes - and honestly, I don't have a firm enough grasp on the minutiae of the game to know what's happening on the floor.
So getting to the point: What kind of coach is JB considered to be? Where do his strengths and weaknesses lie? Does he have a particular scheme or philosophy that he gravitates towards?
Additionally, is there somewhere that goes into this kind of analysis of coaches that I just wasn't able to find?
Much appreciation for any time y'all are willing to give in helping me educate myself here.
Go Cavs.
