[Request] Translation from Japanese to English, small paragraph

Can anyone kindly translate this piece of text from an instruction manual from Japanese to English please?

The context is some warning about an Airsoft pistol. The image near it has some motion of pulling the slide chamber thing of the gun forward, so I'm worried that the image I posted is something like "Don't pull it forward! It will break!"

Everything else in the manual is helpfully obvious with the nice cartoon pictures, apart from this one bit.

Thanks!

My Japanese is extraordinarily rudimentary, but as far as I can tell it's warning you about how the moving slide can hurt your hand. It also might be saying that you shouldn't force the slide to move with your hand (more likely this one). There's then something about asking you to be safe when the slide is moving, or else your gears can be damaged or broken.

Here it is in Japanese, if you want to try to figure out wtf it's saying with google translate.

スライドの動きをムリに手で止めたり、スライドが動いている時に、セフティをはんしたりするとギアが壊れたりして故障の原因となるのでお止め下さい。

Thank you so much! That all makes sense in context I think. The image and the other warning of the right (of section 5) also talks about watching your fingers.

Here's more of the page in context if you're curious. Your translation has reassured me that I haven't done something wrong and broken it, it's just a "don't be an idiot and hurt your fingers" warning.

My Japanese knowledge is little to none, but I think this is correct.

If you still need a translation, it says:

"when the 'slide' is moving, don't forcefully try to stop the movement with your hands or take off the safety because the gear may break as a result"

That makes even more sense, thank you!
