[JC] Pe in JC

Hi how is pe in jc for females, I saw that they are more lenient for females as compared to their male counterparts. Also is swimming compulsory? What if you have a fear of swimming? Are you forced to swim? Do all schools have swimming as part of their module? I had an experience in primary school that forced me to learn to swim despite my fear which ended up making my fear worse, thus I'm concerned about this.
