I'm not new to the concept of writing, but this is the first thing that I have written that I am really happy with, but I want to be less happy with it—if not hate it, so I am submitting it here. I am no longer happy with it. Once I get a new thing with which I am happy, I'll send it here again. I expect it to be longer, so it'll probably be in chapters.
This is standalone and, content-wise, complete. Yeah, no. That's going to change. I'm going to pretty much scrap this and start a new project based on some of its ideas, but most of it won't survive. If you still want to give feedback on it, you can, but I'll be here, with the new drafts, in a few weeks. I realized that with the number of words I am using right now, the story I am trying to tell is too confusing and cramped. I don't think that many would disagree with me there. I'm thankful for everyone who gave advice and feedback. It was not in vain.
Content warning: Implications of suicide, gore, and language
Summary: I don't like giving summaries, because I prefer to know if the work is decipherable without one, because readers won't have them, but I will say that it is a character meditating on their life thus far.
