Trying to draw Ed’s outfit and I can’t figure out what the black dangly thing is on his belt near where he wears his knife toward his right hip? Is it a thingy to hold gunpowder? I’ve been scrubbing through episodes and I can’t find a clear shot of it in good lighting. My broken-down brain won’t let me omit it so any help is appreciated!

I think those are small leather pouches holding pre-measured gunpowder (and possibly also the ball.) Pre-measuring the gunpowder would allow him to reload faster. If you google around you can find a couple of examples on various antique gun sits. Good luck!
Ty! After the last answer about the bullets, I looked at pics of 18th-century bandoliers and found some close matches. There are also a few scenes during the treasure hunt where I was able to get a good enough view to approximate it.
