Knowledge transfer advice?

I have an alt character thats stuck at verne quest and two more at rohendel. They've been sitting like that for weeks, the verne one was manually lvled up to 50 and i just cant go through that questline. Is spending gold on knowledge transfer worth it? They're all ilvl600

I have about 10k gold and 2 chars on punika questline(still not tier 3), should i spend gold and progress my alt characters or just suck it up and do it manually even though im basically delaying it of for weeks... Will it kill my gold needed for tier mains?
