Does instagram just suck?

Anyone else experience this.....I'm just a regular person, not an influencer or famous person or a business account but I've seen my story views absolutely plummet, and my photos gets almost zero likes. I can post the same thing on Facebook and get tons of likes etc. What can I do to improve my instagram?
