Wizards have another method. Delete the skyfire port and pretend it doesn't exist.

Ive got a 49 wizard and i dont intend to ever use that port again until im 60 with clicky.

I still wouldn’t.
If someone asks for Skyfire port I just tell them to find a Druid or get a hammer.

For me, it's just easier to associate a jungle with the "south" as jungles tend to be in equatorial regions and I have that northern hemisphere bias that most p99 players, except for Australians, probably also have. On the flip side, it's easier to associate a kraggy volcanically active arid mountainous region with the "north"

I do exactly the same, except I use that in movies/TV "south side" is usually "a Jungle" (rough neighbourhood etc).
So wind of the South is emerald Jungle.

Probably not the easiest way, but I think of the whole continent of Kunark. The Overthere, Warslik's Woods, and Field of Bone are bordered on the north by the ocean. That's the northern edge of the continent. Skyfire is to the west of OT, also along the northern edge of the continent. Wind of the North.
I think of a jungle as southern and tropical. Wind of the South is EJ.

I dont get it, other than that you couple destinations like Ring and Circle of Iceclad.

Firefist is next to Skyfire, Imbue Emerald is next to Emerald Jungle.

My method is convoluted.
I always think that Skyfire must be South because they both start with S. That reminds me that of course that's opposite, lol.
S is for EJ... Obviously.
Yes, I do weird stuff like this a lot. Fortunately, if I don't tell anyone, the end result is that people think my memory is great. :P

The way I do it is:
SEJ - doesn’t mean anything
NSF - Not Safe For - then you’re dead when you land

As a Wizard main I have my Skyfire port by itself on page 40 or something lols. Making sure I never, ever cast that. xD

All my ports are on pages 11-16, separated by continent, and I have a social called "Travel" that does a /book 11
So they're a single click away.

Thats a clever way to set it up. I had to make myself memorize the reality of what I was doing. My main fuck-up has always been porting people to DL when they asked for GD.
I'm a Dial a Port druid on green. Even at the druid portal, I have gotten killed a few times, so when I get a request for Skyfire, I cringe. I tell them that I charge 100p for that port up front, and sorry if that is not agreeable to you, etc. I'm really easy going as far as not bitching about tips and stuff like that. People need to feel like they are doing okay, and I try to make them feel comfortable. Dont get me started about the sin of greed or covetousness!

I don't get the big deal? Druid skyfire is easy mode anyway.
Now us wizards, we have the fun ports. Skyfire or if you really don't like them, surprise hate port.

Less risky but definitely not easy mode as there is a dispelling mob that passes by. I've gotten killed that way multiple times on my Druid when it dispells SoW
