beginner needing help

I have an interest in poker, I know the rules and I've played a little bit at the micro stakes online. I've got no idea what resources would benefit in improving quickly as a beginner. Mostly I've been using the advice of blackrain to get me on my feet and the basic knowledge I've gathered by passive consumption. I'd appreciate some help. I've not got the desire to go pro, I just want to increase my bankroll and go to higher stakes over time.
