AITA? My husband is angry with me because I won't let my kids go in the car with the whole family.
So we're going to visit his brother in a few weeks. They've arranged to go to the snow for a day.
I told him I hate snow/don't want to go. (Health condition flares in cold weather/I can't participate because exercise hurts me/I get really exhausted quickly in these situations)
The kids who are 4 and 6 really want to go so I said it's fine. I'll go (so I can drive them) and participate at my own pace, get some photos of the kids and leave when I need to.
He said his brother wanted to hire a bus so we can all go together. I said no, because I don't trust someone else diving with very little experience in Australia/snow and with my kids in the car not restrained properly and in a car that possibly isn't maintained well. The drive is about 3 hours each way.
I told him this week's ago and also told him I'm not budging on my terms.
That I would rather take my well maintained 4 wheel drive with properly fitted car seats for our kids, with me driving (over 20 years experience in Australian terrain).
His brother went ahead and booked it anyway (not sure if my husband told him I said no.)
Now it's booked and my husband tried to break it to me like "oh well, now it's decided"
I lost my mind.
He thinks I'm being unreasonable! He's really angry at me that I'm standing my ground and won't budge/Am threatening to not let the kids go at all. Just because we can't go in the small bus with his family. With his brother driving who has only 2 years experience driving in Australia.
Am I being unreasonable here?
