What if... every champion would additionally deal 20% AP with their basic attacks?
Before commenting, I know that this would cause a bunch of chaos in the game. And yeah, there used to be that old 5% AP on-hit rune back then, which already went into a similar direction.
It just always felt so off with league in general, that auto attacks are considered "useless" for so many champions, compared to the rest of their attacks. Like it does not fullfill the power fantasy of a mage like Annie, who is basically shooting out the same fire with her basic attacks as she does with her abilities, while only dealing 5% of the damage with them.
Yes, currently auto attacks are only really considered for "AD" champions. But in terms of general game design, it feels so off to basically have a "dead" attack on your champion, if you are an AP user. There are a bunch of abilities with an AD scaling after all, so AD is already buffing up your attacks and your abilities.
What do you think would be the consequences for the game, if every champion would get an AP scaling onto their basic attacks? (obviously after balancing champion who like Morde/Orianna/Kayle, who already have something similar in their kit)
