Trust in Spirit

Sharing / Insight 💡

Long story short… I am 7 months sober from alcohol today. This is from an experience I had yesterday. Confronted with intergenerational trauma as I entered an Ojibway Sweat lodge connected to my culture & ancestors. I fasted the entire day and had intense purging lots of visions and insights.

One of these insights I am going to share with you… is when the mind is turbulent (no matter how strong the water is) have trust in spirit. Have trust that your meditation and whatever it is being presented as long as you are anchored in spirit it’ll work itself out. I’ve never had an experience so raw and robust to the core of my minds inability to let things go but I gave it over to my “higher power” as I like to say the energetic spirit of all sentient beings on this earth.

Another insight is that every negative person I’ve met in my life is struggling because at some point in our lives we didn’t feel love and acceptance when we needed it the most. That in itself is what I saw in the sweat lodge a little baby crying out for the mothers love but not receiving it. & so that is what I am integrating into my meditation practice (no matter how turbulent I sit down and have trust in spirit, have trust in myself. Letting everything be as it is meant to be experienced.
