Virtual Desktop / Airlink Access Point?

Hey! I'm using Virtual Desktop / Airlink to play but my main router is a floor above me. This causes it to disconnect from the 5GHz wifi frequently.

I am planning on buying this router as an Access Point in my room, connect my PC via ethernet to the access point and the Quest 2 via Wifi to the access point.

This way I have direct line of sight with the access point at all times and it won't disconnect. Can anybody confirm if this will work with this access point? Thanks!
