The Christian and Islamic concept of afterlife simply makes no ethical and logical sense especially with God being an all loving being.

Christianity/Islam

There’s an invisible man living in the sky and he watches every thing you do every minute of every day and the invisible man has a list of 10 things he does not want you to do and if you break one of the Ten Commandments he has a special place full of fire smoke burning and torture and anguish where he will send you to live to suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever until the end of time. But he loves you- George Carlin. This is flat out the doctrine most Christian’s and Muslims are indoctrinated into and it makes no ethical sense. Let’s assume that Jesus really did live and was the son of God and got nailed to the cross for our sins. The pain that he endured is not even remotely close to the pain of one who experiences hell. He also knew that he would go to heaven anyway. So really what he gave up was his weekend for our sins. God had no reason to send down Jesus either he simply could erase hell the devil and sin if he wanted to. But that would take away free will. People seem to have free will in heaven and they don’t sin so what’s stopping God from just doing that on earth. You could argue we’re agreeing with the devil if we reject Christ sacrifice. But then why would God punish people for being deceived by what he could easily prevent. Why doesn’t he just punish the devil for what he did in hell now and stop the devils reign on earth. A human simply cannot commit a infinite sin so eternal punishment is a cruel and unusual punishment. Hell being a cleansing place for sins makes a lot more sense. Let’s say 1 sin gives you and hour in hell even that’s a little cruel but at least it’s more ethical that eternal punishment for disobeying a little bit to much. You could argue God is pure and God doesn’t want the wicked in his kingdom. Sin is pretty much impossible to avoid. So if someone has 1 sin on their death bed and they don’t repent for it does that mean they go to hell? What about people who have sudden deaths or get killed before they plan to repent. God also makes people knowing that they are predestined for eternal torture. He can also easily convince people of his existence right now in many ways without interfering with free will and make us all avoid eternal torture. I’d much rather have no free will than suffer for eternity. So many people get ptsd from the hell doctrine that it makes God sound no more than an abusive father. Not to mention Jews don’t even believe in hell so why do Christian’s? Lucifers role in the Jewish Bible was simply to lead the wicked astray. This evil boogeyman picture wasn’t given to him until Christianity and Islam came around. The Bible also never says the serpent was Satan. It also says that the reason why we are flawed is because eve ate the forbidden fruit. Seems kinda unfair to punish thousands of generations just because of the actions of one woman. You may ask why didn’t I ever mention Islam in this post? that’s because most of what I said can be applied to Islam to. I apologize for how long this is.
