It always perplexed me why Urbies have so many hardpoints in vanilla. The R60 has four ballistic hardpoints, how do you even...?

Using infinite tonnage mods I bolted four AC/2s alongside two PPCs onto it as a joke, and it's fully modelled to support all of them. It's just a pile of guns that, for some reason exists in the files despite it being impossible without cheating.

They probably just copy pasted the hardpoints from MWO. MWO doesn't have support hardpoints like HBS does, so machineguns go into standard ballistic hardpoints. Four mg urbanmech.

I think that kind of firepower would launch this little trash can into orbit.

Maybe the concept was a engineless mech which uses 360 degree torso rotation to point guns backwards to propel itself towards. Real, genuine weight efficiency right there.

Got bored and decided to mess around with an OP Urbie build after doing the all-Urbie Flashpoint. It's got a 212 alpha and like 4 or 5 net heat. Fun stuff.

Those LBX ++s are super underrated

They've been well known for their insane damage/ton since HM landed.

I've always been a fan of running two LB2Xs on my Urbies. Supplement with an ER MLas if you can, regular MLas if not. Negative heat delta unless jumping or not firing the laser and can throw a satisfying splat of damage at extreme ranges, so that poor speed really doesn't matter so much anymore.

Yeah, I was looking at the non-L version and thinking about that. Plenty of extra weight with that tiny engine.

I run BTA and built one with a Clan UAC20. It was fun to bring to dual duels.

Would sacrifice the jets for some extra heat sink.

I was just running this little dude to make a mockery of my enemies so I kept it fun and springy.

Maybe it's me but I'd never put D heatsinks on an urbie just too rare and the urbie is a bit too fragile to have them survive for long.

If you're friendly with Pirates, you can end up swimming in DHS. Putting the sink and the ammo in the legs might be the better idea though.

Yeah, I've got a full complement of mechs in all sizes and have a dozen just sitting around.

Not really an Urbie without a big *as gun of some sort ;)

This... has inspired me. I may just attempt to make this, but swap out the mlas and a couple heatsinks for a second AC-2X for an SnipeUrbie.

Get 3 of those dudes with a spotter hopping around spraying shrapnel at people from across the map.

I may just have to see how far I can get in the campaign with that. Three Urbies: one like above, two Urban Snipers, and something very fast like a Jenner with a COIL, later a Raven. Spend the early game grinding like mad to max out pilot stats, them let them loose on the Galaxy.

And what would said merc company be called?

The Urb Stompers. I went ahead and modded my starting party for a new campaign. To "balance" it, I converted the normal starting mechs into C-bills, then "bought" four Urbies and a Raven, with about 4 mill c-bills left over. At the moment, the lance just sticks together in the Raven's ecm bubble. I am three battles and one lost left arm (during mission 1) in, lol. It feels very OP until suddenly a turret sensor locks someone in range of a Shadow Hawk, lol.

It is led by Dash McMahon, because Dash is a name for an urbie pilot. He drives an R60L modified with a single AC2+, almost maxed armor, 3xmlas, 1 slas, and three 0 ton arm mods I found on the second planet I went to. Because nothing is more hilarious than having a flea dive into the raven's ecm bubble, only to get urb stomped for 70 damage and cored in one attack.

The other urbies are another R60L modified back to an AC10 with the heat sink removed and replaced by a medium laser, and an R90 unmodified. I have an unmodified R60L sitting in reserve in case I need five rounds of AC20age.
