Asics GEL-Kayano 28 for a neutral runner
I managed to get some new Asics GEL-Kayano 28's for cheap price which are listed as a stability shoe (I stumbled on this after ordering).
I am a neutral runner (not flat footed or known to pronate). I kind of really like to Asics, but am not sure if I should be concerned that they might be detrimental to me (as someone who has never needed support before).

I got the 26's after a fleet feet foot scan told me I had low arches, it is the only pair of stability shoes I have ever owned. For the first 5-10 runs I had to stop after about two miles to roll out my ankles because the front of my calves got extremely tight, but after doing that I was fine into the double digits. After the 5-10 runs, whatever muscles they were hitting differently got strengthened, I had no lasting adverse effects.
I took them over 600 miles, they are firm, not exciting, but a well made shoe. I am back in neutral shoes since.
interesting thanks!
