[Official vote thread] Binkies, yay or nay?

Ok the other vote thread about the ice cream man was silly. Bad topic. Nobody really voted... so here's one that might get you all going. How do you feel about the pacifier? It is such a taboo subject for some people to even suggest using one, as they are known to cause teeth problems and other security issues. For other people it is a must have item, without which, no peace is had! Vote or if you are for or against such a device.

I realize many of you dads have older children and this may not apply to you now, but they were young once, right?

I gave the other vote a week, so we'll give this one a week as well. Get your votes in by June 22nd 2012 and I will graph them and post it to the sidebar.

some of you are saying you don't know what i need for the vote tags.

The squared off brackets (next to the 'P' without hitting shift) open and closed next to each other and then immediately followed by a open parenthesis, backslash, the word 'yes', 'no', or 'abstain' and then a closed parenthesis. no spaces. Didn't know this doesn't show on iOS, seems to work fine on my mac at home.

edit: found a bug in the code on chrome and some other browsers.

poem edit: I am now at home, looking at this on chrome and it chills me to the bone so much, i thought i'd write a poem.

non-poem edit: I FIXED IT!!! (I hope) .... looks good in my chrome now anyway. thanks too thegchild and oser for pointing it out, seemed to have discovered a fix, or at least a work around. See below on the "official status of the vote count.

I say officially because I'm seeing some of you just typing yes or no. To make it easier on me to count, please change your answer to have the above tags, because that way it will jump out better, and I'll have a much quicker count.

edit: as for the issue earlier, i will count the non-official votes in my count because i screwed up. in the future if you can't/don't feel like, please make your vote in bold at least, that way it'll stand out more, and I'll know you're not just saying 'no' to someone. this is heating up to be a good vote. anyone who doesn't vote yes or no should i list under 'abstain' for the pie chart? i guess i will have to see what it looks like. thanks!
