Had a Session 0 Last Night for a Generic Isekai Setting

This is my second attempt at putting a campaign together. My first attempt fell apart due to lack of interest. I spent a lot of time trying to develop settings, and generally overwhelmed myself with details. A few days ago, I went to a panel at a convention called "Dungeon Master 101" and was inspired to stop trying to create new things. I've read between 50-100 isekai manga, and much of it has similar settings and story beats. I could probably tell a generic isekai story in my sleep. So I'm going to create as little as possible and steal as much from manga as possible. If I don't have to worry about world creation and telling a story, I can spend my focus on learning how to run a game.

So we're going to have all the usual isekai tropes: cheat abilities, adventurer's guild, demon lord, the usual.

I decided to start everyone off as teenagers with 30 character points. 20 of those went to stats, so they had 10 to spend on attributes. It took us about three hours to learn how to create a character and choose attributes. To cut down on time next week, I'm going to give them options of "class packs" like "fighter," "brawler," "mage," "animal trainer," and so on. I want to jump into the game instead of hunting through the book for attributes. I'm looking forward to it.
