Ergo S-1 Open Source Edition - Split, Wireless, Concave, Standard Keycaps
Here about a year ago I started Wizard Keyboards with the goal of designing the keyboard I always wanted to make. I took the long way to get there, but we're there.
The big stuff:
- The layout is designed to be compatible with standard 104-key sets.
- The case design gives you wide open access to wire your switches.
- Integrated palm rest.
- Neutral wrist angle with the optional ramps.
- Detailed assembly guide makes this a great option for your first build.
- Uses ZMK firmware.
I've been using one of my prototypes for about 9 months and I'm excited to finally get to share this with everybody.
We've got STL files for the case, a parts list, detailed assembly instructions, and pre-compiled firmware on my github. All of it is ready for you to download and build yourself, right now. https://github.com/wizarddata/Ergo-S-1

Very cool. Not a fan of the ergodox thumb clusters, as they aren't really that usable.
Probably moreso in a sculpted layout, though.
Honestly, haven't tried that. But I also am at the point that I don't like having anything but 1U keys in the thumb cluster. Anything else feel .... excessive and hard to reach.
Same. I love my 80-key ergodox.
