I’ve been on for coming up for 4 hours now and I’ve gotten ONE shiny.
I bought a ticket, have had incense down constantly but gotten next to no nothing. Is it just me??? I usually fair way better than this so wondered if something more wise spread is happening.

Not just you. I've been playing for 4 hours, incense, lures, wandering about, or in a park. I haven't seen a single shiny. I was in two minds about buying the ticket, but someone gifted it to me, and I still feel that this one is a rip-off. Usually get lots of shinies on paid events. Poor show.

It’s RNG my guy. Shiny hunting is all about good luck and some times it’s just not there
No shinies, no hundo, lack of good spawns. This Go Fest looks more like a normal random shitty weekend event.

Also in UK, been to loads of locations in my area with tons of stops and gyms and also have A single shiny. My partner has 2. I got so many more from the Johto event and comm days so I'm so disappointed this time around :(

For real you just went unlucky most people had actualy decent luck its rng sometimes you just got fucked up even with boosted shiny rates
I asked a few people who I saw out today, except for 1 person, the highest I saw was 4 in 7 hours, on a paid event.
I guess its rng for me and my friends we all had decent shiny rates at least 6
But 6 isn't decent for an 8 hour paid event, it would be quite poor for a free event. If it wasn't for axew spawning 2 of the hours, it would feel pretty much like a normal day.
Not really it was lowest score of all and he played for like 5 hoirs checking 1 out of 3 mons so its decent for that. I dont blame you for being angry at niantic, if i would spent money and get 3 shinies then i would be pissed too. Feels bad better luck on day 2

Couldn't agree more. Really poor event. You'd expect better for these types of events.
Go Fest is literally THE event of the year, and this one is actually horrible. They for sure gave their maximum effort to the cash grab instead of the content. Such a waste and such a shame tbh.
I’ve probably spent more time thinking about whether or not I would buy the ticket than the actual length of the event. Decided to pass… just didn’t seem like much bang for your buck. Posts like this are confirming my decision.
The abysmal rates in Johto Tour really cemented my decision to not pay for “boosted” shiny rates again
