I read a memo I had saved to my Daddy the other day, and the sentiments was what your poem displayed with perfection. Beautiful insight to your emotions ❤.
I’m so glad that you liked it - thank you :)
I love poems like this. The ones that paint the end as nothing to fear. While reading it, I could picture nothing else but peacefully falling asleep. I think your ability to paint death that way speaks for itself. Well done.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m glad that all came across
I love how you detailed death as a relief, something to embrace instead of fear. I interpreted it as wanting to be appreciated and not missed when you find that peace and I love that
The Irony being that in life, the true relationships that we hold dear can only ever be few, else we hold each other stagnant and its only with having experienced unconditional love that we learn to wonder uninhibited by fear as a result of our loved ones. No true friend will be mad if your off living your life!
resonates so much
Love the formatting

I like the imagery and rhythm . I would personally like to see an expansion maybe detailing the night more as a journey with the surrounding environment cascading the descent and departure vividly . Good job tho
Thank you for the feedback! This was very much just scrawled down, so I appreciate the guidance with it and will try and expand it
