Behold the Northern Iberian Monarchies!

R5: First playthrough of the new DLC, started as Navarra 1066 and am having a ton of fun.

My first ruler was murdered by his brother within 5 years, my next ruler inherited as a child and then ruled for 50 years. He became known as Gartzia V 'the Crownless' for selling his crown while dirt poor.

My next ruler inherited as a 16 year old, got cancer, lived for 8 years and brought back Basque paganism. He died at 24 as King Antso IV 'the Pagan.'

Now we have Katalina 'the Mother of Spain', who inherited at the ripe young age of 6 then united the Spanish thrones under Navarra! She inherited Galicia, pressed her mothers claim on Leon, murdered her 6 year old cousin so that her mother inherited Castille, murdered her newborn half-brother so she was first in line to inherit Leon, then warred with her sister to finally claim Castille!

edit: ah shit i cant use the compromise decision. all of that land makes up 52% of iberia (you need less than 50%) and i cant make anyone independent because theyre all de jure vassals after uniting the thrones. aaaah man.

edit 2: conquered a duchy from france, created the duchy, gave it to a count whos capital was in said duchy, gave them a few of my counties and BOOM. STATUS QUO!

As a native Arabic speaking person I just realized that the kingdom of Valencia while held by Muslims is called Al Sarq which is pronounced Al Sharq, which literally means “The East”

Took me too long to notice

What religion is that
