Prompt: The Beginning and The End

Prompt

Time for another prompt! This time, to learn about your world and let others learn some unique facts, we’re talking about the alpha and the omega.

So, you’re a [God] and you’re creating the world - the main world in your fantasy, sci-fi, apocalyptic, etc …universe. But you’re running into some difficulties. I, an omnipotent cosmic storytelling reporter, have come to ask you some questions as all of creation is eagerly anticipating this new world. So:

  • Who are you? Can be an AI, even a human, a natural force - whatever or whoever created your world
  • What unique beasts and species have you created (if there are none, you can use unique elements or phenomena)
  • Who is your partner in creation? Or, the one who wants to destroy your creation?
  • Do you (or your destructive counterpart) have plans to put an end to this world eventually? How?

Per usual, keep answers short and sweet as I’ll be asking some fun questions to your creator god, race, species, human, etc! Feel free to answer as yourself, or as some creative force/overlord, a crazy scientist in your world, or even as magic itself, if it’s sentient and created things … get creative and have fun!

You are doing some nice prompts ...

  • Well, technically there is no creator in my world. However, no one likes answers that are technically correct, so: At the beginning, a Boltzman Brain formed in the Elemental Chaos.
  • It quickly found out that it could use Magic, created a body for itself and then startet creating more of itself. The resulting creatures are the Primordials. They then split the Elemental Chaos in the planes known today.
  • After that they found out that this made the act of creating new Primordials much more difficult and stopped doing so. They created the Titans as a servitor species. For a while, both worked together and formed the universe into its current shape.
  • Then the Titans turned against the Primordials, imprisoning them in a purpose-build plane. They were basically slaves at this point, I can't blame them. But then they discovered that the world actually needed Primordials to be stable - without their presence, it begins to disintegrate back into the Elemental Chaos.
  • So none of the creators want to end the world, but the Primordials can't keep it together in their current state and the Titans, wo are still unsuccessfully working to undo the damage they've done, can't release them for obvious reasons.

Thanks!

Also, are your primordial creatures worshipped in anyway? How well known are their existences?

There is the occasional odd guy, but mostly they aren't worshipped. Mortals worship their Gods, who came to be significantly later then the Titans.

As to how well known they are: It varies significantly.

If you study magic, especially all kinds of magic that revolve around the planes, you'll quickly find evidence that the planes weren't always there, the prison plane of the Primordials is quite noticeable and the Titans can still be easily contacted. So once you reach a certain threshold in magical knowledge, you stumble over signs of these creatures almost automatically. Most societies haven't reached that threshold yet.

But even those societies have some idea of what happend in broad strokes: Most Gods, who entered the picture significantly later, learned what happened either through their own magic or from the Titans.

Really advanced societies, like the Empire of Elyria, know the story down to the dirty details. They know time magic that lets them actually spectate these events, most students of magic have seen it with their own eyes.

But as far as the average peasant is concerned: They don't know much. It is not relevant to them. Titans don't interact with them like their Gods do, they did not influence the mortals life since the last War of the Gods around 4000 years ago. It simply does not matter.

A blank arises from the rotting corpse of my forefathers. Its so, so unbelievabley cold so I sought out warmth in this void. Using cosmic dust I create the first stars, illuminating the inky dark background. But this feeling hasn't entirely gone away, and I wonder why could this be? After millenia contemplating I pinpoint my sadness as loneliness. With this revelation I split into a few thousand more entities, creating the first angels. Still retaining my powers I decorate the galaxies with countless planets and celestial oddities.

But despite my current efforts, my heart still sets cold.

With the advice of my closest creations I decide to create more life. Decidley seeding the few viable worlds with primordial life I sit and wait for one in particular, Earth.

Speeding up the process midway I think it may be a boring world for my honoary children. So I install a system of magic beforehand. The angels seem delighted so certainly everything must be going right at this moment. In the blink of a eye Titans are born from the very elements and organic life as a whole blooms.

So much creating can be so, tiring. So I retreat to my bed to sleep but quietly observe the cosmos for eons.

Eventually my angels, mythics, humans, and demons come to live in harmony. But this peace was quickly abolished by the start of Titanmachy. Those horrid beast crafted of earth, fire, water, and even the very air. Gobbling up and threatening extinction to the whole planet. I awaken quickly to guide the oppressed into war, and they swiftly overthrow the eternal tyrants. Yet with no more enemies to fight the races bicker and bicker.

In the best of my heart, I hoped to stop this conflict. I created several new realms where new life begins catered to my children. From the clouds of paradiso reigned the angels to the grimmstone of inferno where imps flourished the division seemed effective for now...

With my power drained again im forced into a deep hibernation. Unable to oversee all these realms in my absence I create Jehovah. Its been a while since ive checked in, but hope tells me no matter what chaos unfolds harmony will be achieved again.
