Gear question: What exactly to invest in?

Discussion

I've read and watched a few gear guides and none of them have been especially clear on these questions:

  • Should I be feeding excess gear to all the Maze/Gordias/Unique T6 pieces I have with the expectation that I'll eventually tune them to the sets & stats I want?

  • Should I be feeding all blue & grey T5, purple & gold T5 with sets I don't want, and all T4 and lower, to the above gear? (With the exception of SC gear I'm using to fill set holes)

For (unneeded) raid gear, just sell them, they give some tokens back.

Gear that you don't want (of low tier) are gear with bad set options. Feed them to Maze/Gordias (to +10) or T7 (to +2).

As for the reason, enhancement only gives you more of main stat. Most of them are flat stats and the increase is just not significant enough. For Maze and Gordias, you can upgrade them to T7 (+10), for T7 you can unlock latent ability (+2).

Thanks, I don't recall that being mentioned in any of the guides I saw.

How can you tell which is raid gear?

The one you craft from raid. The name contains Superconductive or Bitra. Next season, it's the Polymer or Inhibitor.

Check which gear will give you raid tokens for deleting, better to get the raid tokens back then the rather minor enhancement points.

I also personally don't delete Counter CDR pieces even if they are low tier, because I don't have many complete Counter CDR sets atm.

they don't appear on lower tier pieces though as I've heard. That's exactly why they are rare in the first place.
