My Top List for Vietnamese Food in NYC (from a Vietnamese) - 6 months Update
Hi folks,
The original post and discussions are here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FoodNYC/comments/qki072/my_top_list_for_vietnamese_food_in_nyc_from_a/
So I won't repeat myself a lot here. For context, I spent 16 years with my folks in Hanoi before moving to the states 9.5 years ago. This whole list started because of my constant urge to find a half-decent Viet restaurant in NYC 9 years ago and lots of my friends asked for it.
I have expanded the list based on many suggestions and insights from the original post. Some of them turned out great and some of them turned out okay, as expected. Like the original post, I will listen to questions and provide my humble opinions and answers.
The link is the same and will be updated on a monthly basis:

I have not kept my original promises of writing more and marking favorite food items. But I will.
Please remember this is based on my personal preference. And there are at least 7 more joints I have not visited (either I did not have the time or money, or the menus simply did not click with me). But I will.
Edit: if you just want pho, go to Diandi or Highlua. That's it. Don't go anywhere else. Also, ask for 'quay' or 'pho donut' (yes that's a thing, we stole it from the Chinese - You tiao)
