X570A-A PRO Not booting BIOS
Parts:
- Motherboard: X570A-A PRO
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Memory: 2x8GB Vengeance LPX
- Power Supply: EVGA 650 G3
I started with a bare board, plugged the MB power supply in and powered it on. The debug lights showed the CPU failed.
So I plugged in the CPU, restarted, and now the lights show RAM.
I added the memory and now the debug lights say VGA. I search for this and the suggestion is to update the BIOS.
I downloaded the latest BIOS (7C37vHH1) from MSI and put it on a USB stick and flash it. The LED next to the flash port blinks for a while, then stops.
During all of this, nothing has shown up on my monitor. I cleared the CMOS and reflashed the BIOS, no change.
Perhaps the latest BIOS is not compatible with my hardware, but before I go systematically through the other BIOS versions I'd like to see if anyone has any suggestions of what else I can do.

VGA means there's an issue with your gpu. You didn't list a GPU, do you have one installed? The 5600x does not have an IGPU so you will need a separate GPU in order to boot your system.
There is an HDMI port on the MB. Is it not hooked up to anything?
The HDMI on the motherboard is for CPUs that have an integrated gpu (igpu) like the 5700g or 5600g processors.
Welp, I did not know that.
I was waiting to buy a new GPU 'til after I got everything working.
I put in an old GPU I know worked and now I see the BIOS.
Thanks for the help.
