Don't Let vaush get away with hyperbolic statements

Discussion

I'll make this post short since the anti-vaush stuff is going for a bit too long.
We shouldn't let vaush get away with hyperbolic statement when he argued with destiny about the harm of hyperbolic statements.
This is the video I'm referring too (with timestamp in the link), I've also typed what they said without paraphrasing too much.
P.S. V: is vaush and D: is destiny in the transcript

https://youtu.be/QoDfthL2w-Y?t=1117

V: Do you remember about what I said about good faith discussion?

D: Do you honestly believe that I'm telling all poor people to kill themselves?

V: Noooo, but the rhetoric implies underlying attitudes you have towards personal responsibility and the plight of the poor, obviously I don't literally think you believe 2.5% of America should kill themselves, I believe the sentiment is underlying, and if you wanna criticize me for the Israel thing, sure, but are you really civilizing me for it or are you trying to deflect off of what I said about you?

D: no I'm not deflecting and I'm not criticizing the Israel thing, I think hyperbole is fun, I love hyperbole, I'm hyperbolic all the f***ing time, see what I did there? that was hyperbole, but what I don't like is when someone body else that engages in hyperbole, takes a hyperbolic state of mine and tries to analyze it through the lens of a strict interpretation, of like: "Oh destiny, Mmmm, I'm really taking issue with the fact that you told all poor people to kill themselves. I don't think that's responsible messaging"

V: I don't literally think that and I don't think anyone watching my coverage of your videos is going to think I believe you literally want 2.5% of the US to kill themselves

D: That's what you literally just said!

V: No I think that the hyperbole expresses underlying attitudes that you have, if you want I will go back and I will edit the video to be very clear over that segment, and I will say "I do not literally think that destiny wants to kill however million people, I do believe this statement, even hyperbolic, still expresses problematic attitude, towards the poor"

Now when vaush gets called out, he just says people either have liberal brain rot, or love civility politics too much
PS, idk what's the name of the guy talking to vaush so going to use "?" in the transcript

?: I think right now, public opinion, is in a place that, the way we could defend ourselves is by grabbing power, and being like a fun little movement of online people who scream about preparing for a huge violent crash, does not have broad appeal and we need broad appear in our movement is to have a change. one of the people I think of is Bernie Sanders [...] what was nobble about him is that he comes off in his rhetoric as a moderate dude.

[...] skipping 1m and 35s of ? repeating himself and destiny talking [...]

V: with respect, I think this is liberal brain rot, I don't think acknowledging that you should arm yourself from a genocide is an optical harm I think you are falling for civility politics

wanted to give a little bit of my own comment.
I know a lot of people used to be vaush fans like me and slowly becoming a destiny fan.
I've kept asking myself if he was always this bad or because this bad.

I personally think he became worse over time.
also when are you dropping the manifesto destiny?

Def became worse over time, ctrl+v kept him slightly palatable for a while, not anymore.
