Cura doesn't work with MakerBot..
There’s a profile for it but maybe we can’t take advantage of the granular control, I’ve hit a quality ceiling (a quite low one!) with the makerbot, the prusa performs much better
I love cura for my ender 3 but unfortunately we are all stuck with makerbot print for makerbot brand printers because they use their own stupid .makerbot file type for no good reason other than they hate their customers
Yes makerbots have become hell since it was bought they don’t care about the home market and don’t make any improvements
Prusa Slic3r. You'll never go back to anything else.
Prusa slicer works with makerbot method?
It takes a little extra work, but yeah. What OS are you running? I'll post instructions to set it up for you.
My main OS is windows but I have access to Mac and Linux also.
This would be sweet!
Windows is probably ultimately, the easiest to setup.
This guy did a lengthy write up on not only the benefits, but also the process to get PrusaSlicer to spit out STL files usable by Makerbots.
It takes a bit of work to get dialed in, AND you will have to figure out your linear corrections (prusa doesnt spit out a 1:1 print on the makerbot, for mine, my Y is set to 96.6% of true size and X is set to 94.2% of true size (its easy to figure out pretty reliably by using calibration prints) My Z prints at 100%)
read up on that and HMU if you need any help. I now run my prusaslicer for my makerbot on a Linux machine (mostly because i also have 2 Ender 3v2s that i use my windows machine to spit out (i could combine it all into 1 system and just pick my printers... but what fun is that :) )
Are you using CloudPrint or their desktop app? The cloud software gets updated regularly
