Is Glameow the only region-exclusive Pokemon?

Question/Request

I just noticed Glameow can only be caught in the Sinnoh games and ORAS' anomalous Mirage spots. Are there any other species that have not been available in the wild of regions other than the one that introduced them, outside of artificial "catch 'em all" areas like that?

To put this one into perspective, this family has not been catchable in any Pokemon game since it's introduction, not even GO, for over 8 and a half years straight.

Glameow has nothing on Skiddo for exclusivity. Little guy is not just region-exclusive, it's exclusive even in its home region, as is only catchable in Kalos Route 5 in XY and its evolution is only catchable in the post-game, 3DS friend that already beat XY exclusive, Friend Safari.

If by GO you mean Pokémon Go, then yeah I've caught Glameow seven times. Haven't seen it in a while though.

Believe it or not, the "GO" in "Pokemon GO" is officially always capitalized, as is HOME.

But... You didn't... Answer the question, lol

Glameow is most certainly available in Pokémon GO. I caught some recently.

He is talking about Skiddo and Gogoat not being in Pokemon GO yet. (the release of X&Y was 8,5 years ago)

Skiddo/Gogat I believe are the only one. It has not been seen in any form since its original release in XY. Glameow on the other hand at least had the Mirage Spots or DexNav in ORAS.

Strictly speaking there are a lot of Gen 8 Pokemon who haven't shown up in any other region yet. And when you think about it that way, any Alola 'mon not present in Sword/Shield or PLA also falls into this category.

So the real question is, how fast does this fall off, and what are the most impressive outliers? Glameow and Gogoat are stand-out examples not because they're region-exclusive but because they're old and region-exclusive.

the ones that are really interesting to me are the Pokemon that werent catchable in the games they debuted in, but became regular wild spawns in future generations. Pokemon like Riolu, Lapras, and Zorua.

It should be but really it’s just gameplay convenience.

Seedot and Cacnea fall into the category of never appearing in the regional Pokédex outside of their home region but they are obtainable post game in at least some regions.

Wasn't seedot in SWSH as an early route mon? It's a counterpart with lotad, yeah, but sword players can catch it all the same.

Glameow and Purugly should get regionals instead of Meowth and Persion.

Pretty sure electross hasn't appeared outside of unova in a regional dex and neither has deerling

Glameow is also in White 2 via hidden grottoes.
