DDC in inventory help???

Best buy warehouse employee here. I have a question for any current or previous warehouse or DDC employees.

I have an appliance that is marked as DDC in our inventory in RSS, no explaination, no licence plate to make a transfer. We have been sitting on this appliance for about 8 months and I want it gone. Are there any theories on what this may be or how to possibly resolve this issue.

We have 1 on hand 0 available and the reserve just says ddc with no drop down.

Note: we tried keying it out and back in today just as a last ditch effort and that didn't work to clear the DDC tag on it.

Have you tried to close the LP and create a new one? We had a DDC LIQ that was taking a bit to populate in the LP Sendback. I closed the tag and created a new one which allowed it to finally populate.

We can't print a tag for it and when we look up license plates it doesn't exist unfortunately

If it possibly was a return, you can try to hard-pull the LPN from the transaction data in Electronic Journal or if it went into Func Check you can look there too.

I'm guessing you probably have already done this, but we've had the the LPN not appear in the drop-down before. If it's the same situation we fix by just inputting the SKU again in the search. For whatever reason it repopulates the LPN details.

My final idea would be to just create another tag and send it out using the fresh one. Once it leaves your store the old LP should pop onto your Zero on Hand Queue.

I’m assuming it’s ddc liq. If that’s the case it does tend to take a while for a send back to populate but I’ve never seen them take that long though. Best thing to do at this point is contact your QA at Your DDC and see if they can help.

I believe we used to just transfer it back to them without making an LP. Sometimes it would take sometimes it wouldn't.

Contact your territory inventory person and the DDC in the same email explaining the situation. Its best to have all the info on said product(i.e batch label because the DDC has their own version of LPN that they can track through its life at the warehouse). Usually that will give you results within a day or 2 once they do their info. Both the DDC and Territory person can force a sendback through a form they send up which should populate before your next white goods truck. If all else fails, key it out and throw it on the truck and tell the DDC good luck(have done it before, very effective)
