35+5, c section probable next week

Next Wednesday I’ll be 37 weeks (term). We’ve had many complications along the way and the MD suggested a c section and we agreed. Either way, I’m scared. Ive seen a few c sections and vaginal births and they’re terrifying. Im a FTM and I’m just scared. What do I NEED to know going into a c section?
