Removing personal attachments from relationship

In a relationship with someone and things are for the most part good. I really like getting to spend time with them due to their ability to point out things going on that I should honestly be very mindful towards. Among those is personal attachments. There are a lot of things going on in my own personal life right now that to be honest I have no vested interest in. I'm just kind of responding to things because of my minds tendancy to wander which is normal though many of these things I could literally say right now are not important to me. I'm not going to try and move the relationship any further and basically just going to forget about them. Luckily when I moved out of my last apartment into a furnished apartment, I was able to toss a lot of stuff. Honestly, I don't like having a bunch of unnecessary things at this point in my life. Maybe when I am established this will changed though I am just not really in that time of my life. I find this perfectly alright. I always talk to my partner about the fact we can talk about anything though to be honest many of the things we used to talk about have completely fallen off for me. If the want to step into the conversation then that is perfectly alright though I may completely miss what is going on because I just don't have a reason to be looking at many of these things. We are trying to find a reasonable relationship aside from this though honestly I think just getting rid of all of these things we probably never need to talk through or consider will do a lot for us in the relationship. I want to be clear headed with my decision making going forward, and don't like the idea of me wasting my time on something when there could be a lot more interesting things to do. I'm not really able to tell what these things may be yet, though I know they totally exist. Any ideas or advice on the next steps here is greatly appreciated, thank you.
