4562km later, my first EV vacation has come to an end. Very relaxed way to travel!

How many times did you stop to charge in one trip way? Curious to have an idea
Between stops I pretty much had to charge once or twice (one shorter pee-break and usually a lunch break that took about 40 mins).
For clarity, a stop was driving from one city to the next, so from where I live to Switzerland was two stops, Switzerland to the west coast of Italy was about 2 stops, from there to Napoli was about two stops, etc. Anywhere from 400-600km's a day. Only 2 times did we really have the feeling that we had to wait for a charge, all the other times it was charging during breaks we would have taken regardless.
Drove from the Netherlands, on the German autobahn (managed to hit vmax for a couple of stretches when the traffic wasn't too bad), through the frankly gorgeous country of Switzerland and ended up in Italy, where we had planned a route to take us to the Amalfi coast, and then back again via Rimini/Milan.
Even though I was warned about the state of EV adoption in Italy and there being very little options to charge, it was actually not that bad. There's a definite drop-off in charging infrastructure once you get south of Rome, but it was still perfectly doable.
Even in the middle of Gragnano (which definitely takes the cake for me as the scariest place I've ever driven) there was a public fast charger near some shops and cafes.
I definitely am glad I came prepared with three different charging cards: Plugsurfing, Shell Recharge (which worked almost everywhere) and the Juice pass (Enel X's own charging app). I only encountered two chargers that just wouldn't budge no matter what I tried, all the others worked like a charm.
I'm going on almost the same distance trip, 4700km from Norway to Salzburg and Amsterdam, I'm planning to mix Tesla, Ionity and EnBW
Sounds like a great trip! I went to Norway by plane in 2019, and I definitely want to take the car back over there, beautiful country.
I don't foresee you having a lot of problems, even though I've had no experience with Tesla superchargers (can't do that with a non-tesla car in Italy yet).
They are flawless in Norway, which is why, though they are more expensive on the continent, they are desirable.
This sounds amazing. We're going to Amalfi in October, but won't get to drive around in a Polestar 2
Believe me, having a P2 around the Amalfi area is not necessarily a good thing with how narrow the roads are.
