In these chapters: November brings the first army battle, and Sunshine prevails. General Granger's strategy is unveiled. Quirrell supervises Harry's Christmas shopping in an interlude, before we witness the final, traitor-ridden, battle, for Quirrell's Christmas wish. There are post-battle speeches, then Quirrell tries to drive a wedge between Harry and Dumbledore. In several aftermaths: Harry contemplates his allegiance to muggles over wizards, Blaise reports to Mr Hat and Cloak, McGonagall tries to caution Hermione away from getting involved with plots, and Harry goads Draco until he resolves to ally with Hermione.
