Best attractions in/around Karpacz?
I will be going to the Karpacz area in a few days, and want to know what attractions are most recommended/worth to see. I'm usually most interested in historical and nature attractions. If there is anything cool to do on the Czech side I would love to hear about it too!

The only tourist attraction in Karpacz is Wang Temple (and maybe Toys Museum but I've never been there).
Karpacz is purely a base for hiking trips. I'd go to the most popular points: Śnieżka (the highest top in Karkonosze mountains, you can either take a chairlift or hike from the bottom) and huts, Strzecha Akademicka and Samotnia. It's possible to see Śnieżka and the huts during one trip, the trail is pretty easy.
You can go from Karpacz to Szklarska Poręba via mountains ridge, it's about 8h hike, make sure you'll be able to catch a bus from Szklarska Poręba back to Karpacz.
Near Szklarska Poręba you can see Kamieńczyk and Szklarka waterfalls. You can also hike from Szklarska Poręba to Śnieżne Kotły.
There are ruins of Chojnik castle not far from Karpacz.
And near Kowary there are old uranium mines.
