Could a Denial-of-service attack be used to defeat the borg?

The borg are essentially a computer network with a hive mind, adaptions (e.g to weapon fire) gets spread through their network and we know that if their cut off from the collective long enough they start to become individuals.

So could a denial of service attack work? what would happen if you tried it?
