What were some of your favorite experiences in the world of kink?

I've been a lurker around here for a while, and created an account for just the purpose of hanging around in here as well as a few other subreddits I'm interested in. So, I guess it'd be rude of me to ask without telling a bit myself.

I'm not entirely new to the idea of BDSM in theory, but so far as practical applications go... I'm about as novice as you can get. That being said, my SO is also interested in this kink and is as new to it as I am, so we've been toying with talk of D/s for a month or two now. My favorite experience (so far) has been watching him come out of his shell. He's normally a very quiet, gentle guy.

Before we kind of..."came out" to each other about our kinks, I had a pretty good indicator that he really liked the idea of dominating me. We played kind of a coy game for a while. I'd play rebellious during bed games, he'd put me back in place. I do what I can to act like a proper sub (or at least what I've read proper subs do), he'd reward with scalp massages, and cuddling. There was a night that in the heat of things he just grabbed my arms and held them behind my back, smacked my ass, pushed my head down into pillows, etc. And I've never seen him look so blown away by sex. Afterwards, he was so worried that I was hurt, or that I hadn't liked it, and I'd said it had been one of the best nights I'd ever had with him up until then. We started talking a LOT more after that about sexual interests, and have been a lot more open ever since.
