Help me break my cycle?

I've been stuck in a cycle of shitty relationships. After studying the ideas and methods of seduction for almost 2 years, I'd like to break free of it once and hopefully for all.

Some background: I've had 3 GFs over the past year alone. Generally they have been virgins and clueless about love and sex, leading to emotional attachment issues from me and them. Also leads me to believe that noobish women are the type of girls I attract... quite depressing.

Reinforcing this view was my latest relationship of 2 months, one which ended so badly that I'm still recovering weeks later. She was verbally and emotionally abusive throughout, until I got the fuck out and completely disconnected from her. I know I shouldn't take anything she said and did to me to heart, but her parting attitude as if she did nothing wrong still hurts my confidence.

Here is the cycle as best as I can describe it:

  • Alone the majority of my time; generally talk to same 1-3 people once a day or less. I don't play vid games, instead I try to be social on reddit when I can. (this is my throwaway acct)
  • Loneliness develops after a few weeks.*
  • Friends don't attempt to help or arrange introductions for me, so I put myself out there myself, until a random woman becomes interested in me.
  • I jump at the opportunity, loneliness likely driving my motivation to pursue her.
  • I find out too far into seeing each other that we are incompatible with each other... Usually after we have begun dating.
  • She or I ends it, delivering a sharp blow to my confidence.
  • Alone again.

*I have hobbies, I have a car, I usually have money and a job, and I'm 21 and enjoy bar life with friends. Right now I'm home for the summer and don't know anybody in town (family just moved to Phoenix from a small town on the east coast). I generally don't feel happy being alone, regardless of my location, but here it feels worse since I know I'm completely isolated.

I guess the main problem is the loneliness... It's like a cancerous lump that devours my happiness and confidence. Even at college, I constantly feel isolated from people or achievements that would restore both. I also feel like these feelings are driving me toward the wrong type of woman over and over like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I desperately want to break free, but perhaps it is that desperation that has landed me in this cycle in the first place?

If anyone has any advice or insight I would really appreciate it, because I feel like I'm taking crazy pills after being stuck in this situation for too long.
