On online and real identities.
I was on a business trip to India and stayed back three additional days for meetup in one of the cities. But I didn't. Sense of shame, guilt overpowered me. I couldn't man up to meet people in flesh and person.
The online Identity does indicate that I have hatred for muslims and I despise Islam. I am apprehensive of how would a muslim redditor take me as. I don't know to what extent I have offended these people. I don't know how would people react meeting me in person. I have written such things against them, in real life I wouldn't even think of speaking in those terms. Sense of shame is too strong.
That is not to say that I don't harbor such ideas. I do. Having been a victim of terrorism committed in name of Islam, my brain has become a breeding ground for extreme anti muslim thinking. But I realize that I don't want that to be part of my identity and exhibit it.
Do these meetups require that you reveal your reddit A/C? Is there anyway I can make reddit part of my life?
