Cheap ride to a regional school?

Hi. First time posting here, but yall seem like a knowledgeable bunch, and I am sort of in a dilemma I thought you would be able to help me out.

I am all set to go to the University of South Dakota law school in Aug, which is a TTTT school, but is the only law school in the state, and is well regarded locally. I am from the West Coast, but like the region, have a lot of family in the midwest, and have no problem with sticking around the area for the first few years after graduating. The thing is, SD offered me in-state tuition due to being prior service military, which comes down to ~11k/year. All told, I will graduate from there with around 50k in debt (I have a little bit left on my GI bill, but used most for my undergrad).

The thing is, I just got off the wait list @ Iowa- they offered me admission, but I will need to pay out of state tuition, which will come out to around ~100k at least...but they are ranked 29th this year, and let's be honest, Iowa City is a much nicer town than Vermillion.

My question to you is: Is it worth it to take on twice the debt-load for a Tier 1 school over a Tier 4?

Thanks for the assist!
