Hey Reddit, what do you think of my first iOS icon?

Made in Photoshop for a friend's iPhone app. The app focuses on sending other iPhone users interactive birthday/general celebration greetings.

I noticed a lot of the icons for other cake-themed apps seemed to be a bit flat, so I wanted to make something with depth that played on the actual shape of the icon. Naturally, the whimsical perspective was a challenge, especially when it came to adding the candles. How do you feel about it? Does it create a convincing illusion of depth? Do you feel that it competes with existing icons? Thanks!
