I may be young, maybe even too young for you to approve of me being a redditor, but I know this to be true. Recently, I have realized something about life while watching Watchmen. The fact that everything is finite. Nothing is infinite. Everything has a beginning and an end. I may only live for 100 years, or 50, or 25, but none of that matters. I have been given the most wonderful gift of all: life. No matter how short of time, I have been given the chance to live. I could kid myself into believing that I will get something other than this life, but it would be just that, kidding myself. I would just be lying to myself. Instead, I choose to look beyond the ignorance of that. Its just that, a choice. Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and almost every other religion in the world is just a lie. We, as humans, intentionally believe what we know to be a lie. But why? Only for the reason to believe that there is something beyond the most beautiful thing of all? That is selfishness. Why hide in ignorance when you can enjoy what you have for the amazing thing that it is? Life is the most beautiful thing in this universe, and I, for one, have learned to embrace my life no matter what this world throws at me.

TLDR; I had an epiphany about life on earth, realized that religion and the belief in an afterlife is just a lie, and have decided to live my life in the best way I can.
