Should I call the number? (New member, PLEASE advise me oh great and powerful Redditors!)
So today I opted to go to Burger King for my dinner. I opted to go through the Drive-thru. I pull up to the magic-speaking-box and place my order and this lovely little voice answers back. (She sounds pretty cute, and yes, you know what I mean when I say that.) She asked if I wanted to donate to The Jimmy Fund and naturally I, not being a soulless dick, say yes. (No idea if that swayed her intentions later in the story.)
I pull up to the window and behold my surprise when the Drive-thru voice is coming from this rather cute looking girl. (Note: I'm 22 and she looked like she may be 2-3 years younger than me at most. I'm not a Sandusky, sidenote: so glad that fucker is locked up.)
She disappears out of view briefly and returns with my food. I can see a few teenage boys standing near the window talking about something. She returns, smiles, hands my bag of food to me and steps back away from the window. I thank her, because I'm not a mannerless chump, and drive off.
When I arrive back home, I sit down at the table and begin to pull my delicious smelling meal out of the bag and eat. Moments after the feeding frenzy has ended I need to use a napkin and clean my hands. I reach into the bag to find a wadded up napkin at the bottom of the bag. I reach in and pull it out, when my eyes catch some writing on the napkin. I lay it flat on the table before me and to my surprise the writing turned out to be a local cell phone number to my hometown.
The handwriting looks to be rather feminine, note I am not an expert on handwriting by any means, but it does not resemble the horrid chicken scratch I call my own in any way.
My questions to the almighty powers of Reddit and its subscribers is: Is this her real number?
Is it her real number, but given to me by her co-workers as a prank? (I would hate to complete the circle of making her the butt-end of a joke if avoidable.)
Should I call the number or is a text enough?
Please Reddit, forgive any grammar, syntax, and punctuation errors in this as I am typing this in a rush to get some advice. (I'm a former English major and errors like that drive me insane so I will understand the lashings I receive for any mistakes.) But please, gentlemen and ladies, please help me out.
